About Events & Hospitality Ministry (JB)
The Hospitality Ministry plays a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the love of Christ at Tabernacle of Praise Church International. Volunteers within this ministry work together to ensure that members, leaders, and guests feel valued, appreciated, and comfortable.
Below is a detailed outline of the key duties for each area of service.
Sunday Morning Leadership Snacks -
Service Time: Every Sunday morning from 8:45 AM – 9:55 AM
Duties:
• Set up snacks and refreshments for church leadership in the designated area before Sunday services begin.
• Ensure all items are presented neatly and professionally (e.g., organized trays, labeled items, clean serving utensils).
• Monitor and replenish snacks or beverages as needed during the serving period.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary environment by wiping surfaces and removing used dishes or trash.
• Collaborate with other volunteers to break down the setup promptly by 9:55 AM.
Event Support -
Service Time: As scheduled for guest minister visits, church events, and conferences
Duties:
• Greet and assist guest ministers, ensuring they are comfortable and have any needed refreshments or materials.
• Support the setup, service, and cleanup for scheduled events and conferences (e.g., setting up tables, providing meals, managing refreshments).
• Coordinate with other ministry teams to ensure smooth event logistics.
• Assist in welcoming attendees and providing direction or information during events.
• Offer after-event assistance with cleanup, ensuring the space is returned to normal order.
Church Decoration -
Service Time: As needed throughout the year for events and seasonal changes
Duties:
• Help decorate the church for major seasons (e.g., Christmas, Easter) and special services.
• Assist in setting up and taking down decorations for conferences, anniversaries, and other events.
• Ensure all decorations align with the church’s theme and are aesthetically pleasing.
• Store decorations neatly and in an organized manner for future use.
• Work with other teams to maintain a clean environment throughout the decoration process.
Commitment Expectations -
• Frequency: Volunteers are expected to serve at least once a month or every other month in one of the ministry areas.
• Team Collaboration: All volunteers are encouraged to work collaboratively, ensuring a smooth and uplifting experience for everyone involved.
• Communication: Notify the ministry leader if you are unable to fulfill your scheduled service date to allow for coverage.
